The Jamaican Football Association are still waiting for the documentation that would allow former Manchester United striker Mason Greenwood to switch his international allegiance.
Sources with an understanding of the situation say the documents relate to his mum, whose parents were born in Jamaica.
Although Greenwood played in a Nations League game for England, because he was under the age of 21 at the time, it doesn’t stop him playing for another country.
-Numerous reports have suggested Greenwood is close to committing to Jamaica. However, that will not happen in time for the March internationals.
“Nothing has changed,” JFA general secretary Dennis Chung told local media.
“We are basically waiting on a document. That is all we are waiting on but we have been waiting on that for a little while and there is no timeline on when that documentation will be completed.”
