Thank you Dorothy!a special show around the flagship host of the 80s and 90s, will be broadcast on TF1 this Friday, January 24. The opportunity for Jacky, the host's longtime sidekick, to return to the sudden end of the Dorothée Club and the reaction of both.

TF1 celebrates its 50th anniversary. On this occasion, the private channel broadcast a special anniversary evening this Tuesday, January 21, co-presented by Gilles Bouleau and Isabelle Ithurburu. And to pay tribute to one of its former flagship presenters, the channel will broadcast, this Friday the 24th, a special program entitled Thank you Dorothy! and presented by Nikos Aliagas. In their edition of this Thursday, January 23, our colleagues from Ciné Télé Revue told the story behind the scenes – the host, real name Frédérique Hoschedé, is the guest of honor. It must be said that Dorothée, in addition to having been on the air from 1978 to 1987 with Recreation A2 on Antenne 2, then from 1987 to 1997 with The Dorothée Club on TF1, has remained the idol of a youth who, although she has aged, has never forgotten her. Jacky, his sidekick since 1981 in Recreation A2gave an interview to our colleagues and agreed to look back on his years of complicity with Dorothée.

She became a friend, a sister“: Jacky talks about his complicity with Dorothée

Former press secretary for Serge Gainsbourg, Jacky debuted on television alongside Antoine de Caunes in Choruswhere he plays the role of a mute host, before replacing, at the same time, Dorothée as host of Recreation A2 for two weeks, the time of filming a film. “I stayed when she came back. (…) The duo worked very quickly. She became a friend, a sister. She taught me how to present shows. She is a great professional and also has a lot of humor.“, remembers the man, now 76 years old. “We saw each other every day. Including outside of filming. We were friends and it was evident on the air. We see each other again, even if Ariane and Corbier have unfortunately died“, he continued, returning to the group spirit and the complicity between its members which transpired on the air.

She learned on the day of filming of the last one that her mother had died.“: Jacky returns to the sudden cessation of Dorothée Club

Asked about the sudden stop of Dorothée Club in 1997, Jacky revealed a certain serenity: “This is the world of TV. You have to be lucid. It was of course sad, but I bounced back pretty quickly on other shows, I set up my production company where I produced animated series and Julie Andrieu's first shows. I have not experienced crossing the desert“. And to evoke the reaction of her friend and colleague at the time to the same event: “She learned on the day of the filming of the last one that her mother had died. It was hard“. Jacky also took the opportunity to appeal to her friend: “In any case, she still means a lot to me. And if she calls me to go back on stage with her, I'll come right away!“. A sentence that echoes that of Dorothée herself, recently during a press conference: “I am not closed to any project. TV, song, concert: if someone offers me things, the door is open!“.
