Ajax duo Kian Fitz-Jim and Branco van den Boomen must be careful in the Europa League match with FK RFS on Thursday evening. The pair will face a suspension if they get a yellow card in Latvia.
Then they would miss the last main phase match against Galatasaray, because they have each already been admonished twice. Van den Boomen visited Slavia Prague and Real Sociedad on a fine, Fitz-Jim appeared on the scoresheet against Besiktas and Qarabag with a yellow card.
In the Europa League you are suspended after three yellow cards. Francesco Farioli's Ajax has quite a card load: with Jorrel Hato, Kenneth Taylor and Owen Wijndal, there are three Ajax players who have already faced a night off in this way. A fourth yellow card has no further consequences, the fifth (and the seventh, ninth and so on) will result in another suspension.
