Priske herself does not want to go into too much detail about it. “I understand the questions, but I hope for some respect for the club,” he said, as quoted by Algemeen Dagblad. Priske finds the result incredible and is happy for Dutch football. That’s why he wanted to talk about football rather than his own position. “All those messages, I don’t really give a damn about them,” said Priske.
Yet it remained mainly about his position. Priske knows how football works and will respect every decision. “Yes, also for dismissal. If someone decides about me, then so be it. It’s part of football. But I know that I did everything I could.”
A splash of defiance
Priske is especially proud of what has been achieved. Feyenoord had the toughest draw based on the standings of the teams. Yet the Rotterdam team has thirteen points. “That’s incredible what these guys have done. Today everything was fine. The goalkeeper was also very good, finally a clean sheet. I am very proud.”
