Bart De Wever (N-VA) took the oath as mayor of Antwerp on Monday morning. De Wever was moved by Governor Cathy Berx’s speech. Taking the oath still means something to him, even if it is the third time. “The first time it was taking the oath and then having something to eat with the family,” says De Wever. “I now take an oath to leave for Brussels as soon as possible to continue negotiations.”
