Signed on January 15, 2024, the decrees relating to the promotions of November 2024 of the National Order of Merit, but also of the 1st of the year 2025 for the Order of the Legion of Honor, were published this Saturday, January 18 at Official Journal. Several Audois are in the spotlight.
We had to wait to discover the 2025 civilian promotion of the Legion of Honor from 1is of the Year, just like the promotion of the National Order of Merit traditionally published in November. Governmental instability and a waltz of ministers led to the publication in the Official Journal of this Saturday, January 18, of 16 decrees: six dedicated to the promotion of 1is January 2025 for the National Order of the Legion of Honor; four for the November 15, 2024 promotion of the National Order of Merit; and finally six for the Notre-Dame de Paris 2024 Special Promotion, dedicated to appointments or promotions in the two orders of 101 of those involved in the reconstruction of the cathedral.
In total, 482 recipients of the Legion of Honor, an order with 79,000 members, and 1,119 women and men distinguished in the National Order of Merit, joining the 177,000 members already listed. One more step for the man who, on September 26, 2016, was named a knight in the Order of the Legion of Honor.
Examining the hundreds of names from the November 15, 2024 class ofNational Order of Merit allows you to identify several Audois. All named in this decree signed on January 15, 2024 by the President of the Republic, but falling under different ministerial contingents. It is on that of the Minister of the Interior that the senior colonel Christopher Magnydirector of the Aude departmental fire and rescue service since March 2023, is thus named knight, with mention of his 32 years of service.
-Chevalier also, on the contingent of the Ministry of Ecological Transition, Energy, Climate and Risk Prevention, Régis Banquet : the mayor of Alzonne, who also chairs Carcassonne Agglo, is thus honored with his mentions of 42 years of service. Vice-president of Intercommunalités de France, in charge of the great water cycle, the elected official is at the head of an intercommunality which has initiated an ecological transition contract and a Green Pact costed at €100 million.
Another knight, this one put forward by the Ministry of Labor and Employment, with Marc Adivèze : if the mention is made of his rank as mayor of Alairac, where he was elected in 2020, thus succeeding his father Roger, mayor since 1971, it is as general secretary of a trade union organization that he was appointed, with 36 years of service. On December 9, 2023, during the 34th departmental congress of Force Ouvrière, Marc Adivèze was re-elected secretary general for a 5th term.
Fourth knight, this time attached to the Ministry of Partnership with the Territories and Decentralization: former Racing player, in Top 16 then Top 14 from 2004 to 2006, it is for his successful reconversion that Sylvain Barthès was appointed. With his company Vu du Sud, the eyewear maker, an art craftsman since February 2024 and based in Narbonne, has developed a brand and the success of his wooden glasses, popular with stars, from Olivia Ruiz to Guy Novès via Orelsan.
Without a doubt not exhaustive, the detailed review of the honored Audois ends with one last knight, the former headmaster Eric Boissiereobviously appointed to the contingent of the Ministry of National Education.
