Appointed Minister of State on September 2, 2024, Didier Guillaume was responsible for the administration of the country. He was the second Monegasque personality after the sovereign prince.
In Monaco, a day of national mourning will be observed on January 23, the day of the funeral. Previously, an ardent chapel, accompanied by a register of condolences, will be installed in the Chapelle de la Miséricorde, Place de la Mairie in Monaco. It will be open to the public from Monday January 20 to Wednesday January 22, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The body of Didier Guillaume will then be repatriated to Drôme on Friday January 24. A tribute ceremony should take place on Saturday January 25 at the François-Mitterrand hall, in Bourg-de-Péage, at a time to be determined. Didier Guillaume should then be buried in the Claveyson cemetery, where his parents already rest.
