Johannes Boe announced this Saturday morning the end of his sporting career. The Norwegian will stop in Oslo, after the last stage of the season. A home finish for one of the greatest athletes the sport has ever known.

These words are those of Johannes Boe and the Norwegian champion has just announced this Saturday morning the end of his sporting career. The younger Tarjei will retire during the last stage of the season, in Oslo.
Finally no Olympic Games for Boe
Johannes Boe is leaving one year before the Olympic Games in Italy, but for the best of reasons. The Norwegian will go to the summit to take care of his family. The biathlete is the father of two children and he explains in his Instagram post that he had to do one more season but that Olympic preparation would take up too much of his time and that of his family.
-A sudden departure reminiscent of that of Martin Fourcade, at the end of the 2020 season. Both men had time to have very successful careers then devoted themselves to their family.
