Teams return to the field for the Portuguese League this Friday (17); see where to watch in Brazil and Portugal
Benfica and Famalicão face each other this Friday (17), at 5:15 pm (Brasília time – 8:15 pm Lisbon), in the 18th round of the 2024/25 Portuguese Championship. The game will be at the Estádio da Luz, in Lisbon, and will be broadcast in Brazil by ESPN 4, on closed TV, and Disney+a streaming service aligned with the broadcaster. Third placed in the Portuguese League, the Lisbon club turns its attention to the points run after qualifying in the Portuguese Cup, against Farense, and the League Cup title, against Sporting. If they win the duel, they will tie with their capital rivals – who play tomorrow – with 41 points at the top of the table.
Famalicão has been having an average performance in the Portuguese Championship, and occupies ninth place in the table. So far, there have been four wins, eight draws and five defeats in the 17 rounds. Five points separate the club from the relegation zone, and 11 from access to European competitions.
However, in the recent retrospective between the teams, the visiting team won the last two direct clashes by 2-0, in the first round of 2024/25 and the return of 2023/24. Extending to the last ten, there were seven Benfica fans, one draw, and the same two from the Vila Nova de Famalicão team.
