The German club stated in a statement: “Eintracht Frankfurt is currently in talks with another club regarding the transfer of Omar Marmoush. Therefore, the player is not in the squad today.”.
The 25-year-old is now close to signing on Manchester City’s roster, the latter in advanced negotiations with Frankfurt, and the deal is expected to be settled in the coming hours, for 80 million euros, including 5 million euros as variables.
It should be noted that Marmoush is a graduate of the Egyptian Wadi Degla Club School, and he moved in the summer of 2017 to the German academy of Wolfsburg, before being promoted to the first team in the summer of 2020, then he joined St. Pauli and Stuttgart on loan, before moving to Frankfurt in the summer of 2023.
