Leicester vs Crystal Palace predictions

The FA Cup offered Leicester some much-needed respite as they thrashed Championship outfit QPR 6-2 on Saturday, but the Foxes have suffered five straight Premier League defeats and may be easy prey for visiting Crystal Palace.

Ruud van Nistelrooy’s tenure at the King Power Stadium started positively, with a 3-1 win over West Ham quickly followed by a 2-2 draw against Brighton, but all that early hard work has been undone.

Leicester have lost five on the spin, conceding 14 goals and scoring only twice, and things are starting to look ominous for the side who sit second-bottom of the top flight and two points adrift of safety.

Palace, meanwhile, are starting to hit their straps under manager Oliver Glasner and they head to the East Midlands having lost only three of their last 15 games in all competitions.

Two of those defeats came against Arsenal and they are unbeaten in five away league games, with wins at Brighton and Ipswich sandwiched between draws with improving Wolves and Europe-chasing pair Aston Villa and Bournemouth.

The Eagles have also shared the spoils with Manchester City and Chelsea since the beginning of December and they should be able to exploit a Leicester side who have shipped 44 goals in 20 league games.

A front three of Ismaila Sarr, Eberechi Eze and Jean-Philippe Mateta should strike fear into the Foxes, who were fortunate to draw 2-2 at Selhurst Park in September having lost the shot count 20-9.
