Al-Daki urges the issuance of the criminal law and procedure and demands that the Public Prosecution’s resources be strengthened by 1,000 judges – Al-Youm 24

Al-Hassan Al-Daki, the King’s Attorney General at the Court of Cassation and the Chief Public Prosecutor, called on Wednesday to “accelerate the issuance of the Criminal Code, the Criminal Procedure, and the texts regulating the legal and judicial professions.”

Al-Daki explained in his speech during the opening of the new judicial year that there are challenges that still await the Public Prosecution in order to fulfill its very ambitious mission, overcoming which requires “strengthening the human resources of the Public Prosecution by strengthening its ranks with a sufficient number of judges estimated at about 1,000.”

Al-Daki drew attention to “the scale of the challenges that still await the Public Prosecution in order to carry out its very ambitious mission,” and added, “In this regard, we will continue to work to strengthen the appropriate mechanisms for the work of public prosecutions, especially with regard to the legislative system.”

The judicial official also called for “strengthening institutional mechanisms to ensure the rights of vulnerable groups of all kinds, increasing the number of shelter centers and strengthening protective programs for women and children who are victims of violence, while giving due importance to individuals who are victims of human trafficking, and accelerating the issuance of the draft law related to the National Agency for Child Protection.”

The Presidency of the Public Prosecution is aware of the importance of institutional and human qualification as basic entry points to increase the effectiveness of performance, Al-Daki said that it “worked to review its organizational structure other than adding a special pole for modernization and information systems in order to win the bet of development, modernization and digitization.”

He also affirmed the commitment “in order to continue implementing the strategy of the Presidency of the Public Prosecution in the field of implementing criminal policy by working to strengthen the rule of law in order to ensure the security and stability of society in a way that guarantees the protection of the rights and freedoms of individuals and raises the level of readiness to confront various types of crimes, especially serious ones, and save lives.” Public ».

Al-Daki also spoke about “making sure to redouble efforts to ensure respect for reasonable deadlines for deciding complaints and reports, and working to improve indicators for measuring effectiveness and promoting moral values ​​in the field of criminal justice, in light of the outputs and recommendations that emerged from the coordination meetings that were held with various components of the police.” Judicial.
