VIDEO – The 53-year-old woman, who was defrauded of 830,000 euros by believing she was conversing with the American actor, reacted on YouTube after the broadcast of the report.
The story made the rounds in the media and social networks. Sunday January 12, the program “Sept à quatre” broadcast the testimony of Anne, a 53-year-old woman, the victim of a big scam. In this report, this interior decorator recounted, in front of the camera, having been scammed out of 830,000 euros by a fake Brad Pitt with whom she thought she was having a long-distance love affair. Contacted initially by Brad Pitt's (fake) mother, this social media novice then believed she was communicating with the American actor and fell into the trap of scammers always demanding more money from her.

The broadcast of this completely crazy story shook the web and within a few hours Anne found herself the laughing stock of Internet users. Even some stars laughed about this affair like the singer and actress Camille Lellouche who posted a video on Instagram.
The scammed woman found herself the victim of cyberstalking and, faced with this surge, TF1 and Éléphant, the production company, chose to remove the report in question from all platforms on Tuesday January 14. ““Sept à Huit” is an information program which neutrally deals with social problems. The report broadcast this Sunday sparked a wave of harassment against a witness. For the protection of victims, we have decided to remove it from our platforms”it was written on the account of the show on X.
A few hours later, Anne decided to react. The victim thus testified in a video relayed on Guillaume Pley's YouTube channel, Legend. As a preamble, it is a man who tells the story. Named Marouane, he explains that he is the one who found the crooks in the case who stole 830,000 euros from Anne. He traces the story in detail and deciphers the mechanisms put in place by the scammers to make the mother fall into their trap. At the end of the video, Anne also speaks.

“There are so few men who write you this kind of thing”: a woman defrauded of 830,000 euros while thinking she was speaking with Brad Pitt
“I’m not crazy or stupid like some people say”
“In this report, the only thing we are going to remember is “Anne fell in love with a fake Brad Pitt” but, initially, I have never cheated on my husband in my life because I am, in fact, a kind woman. I'm not crazy or stupid like some people say or write on social media, I just wanted to help someone. I was fooled, I admit it, and that's why I testified. I'm not the only one in this situation, so maybe not for that amount, but in any case I was scammed, I admit it. Now you know who I am and I accept it.”
Anne then spoke about her difficult life, financially speaking. “I no longer have a roof over my head, my life is a 6 m² box with a few boxes inside, this is what I have left of my life”.
Then, she talks about the many doubts she had throughout this story and points out the fact that the TF1 show did not talk about it. “When it comes to scammers, I've had forty times, maybe more, moments where I didn't believe it. Very sincerely, I say every time “This photo is fake and I can see it very clearly, it’s a photomontage”. In the show, obviously, all this is not said because, know that the journalist stayed for two days to interview me, and he only retained what should not have been retained in fact, to give me sully my image and it is only for the purpose of gaining audience”she protests.
She is finally outraged by a lie revealed in the show: “In the report it says that my daughter and I were angry for months. This is completely false, my daughter has never, ever rejected me. I have an excellent relationship with my daughter and, today, she supports me, the proof is that she testified. Today, I am angry at “Sept à quatre” and TF1 who dared to do such a thing because this report only remembers one thing, “Anne was in love with a fake Brad Pitt”, and That’s not the story at all.”she concluded before explaining that she would say more soon.
