The agreement was reached on Tuesday evening between PSG, Juventus Turin and Randal Kolo Muani for the dry loan of the French international for six months. A formula which surprised, but Qatar has an idea in mind.
Highly coveted during this winter transfer window, Randal Kolo Muani will continue his career in Italy. Aside from a new twist, which however seems improbable at this stage, the French international is expected at Juventus Turin in the coming hours in order to commit to a six-month dry loan. The Old Lady will not have a purchase option to permanently sign the ex-Frankfurt striker at the end of the season, which may be surprising when we know that since the start of the negotiations, PSG favored discussions with clubs who wanted to recruit “Kolo” through a transfer or a loan with an obligation to purchase.
The Parisian leaders changed their minds, but they did not act by chance as revealed by L'Equipe in today's edition. The national daily reveals that Luis Campos is ” convinced “ of Randal Kolo Muani's ability to establish himself in a very high level club, far from PSG where the style of play advocated by Luis Enrique does not suit him. Consequently, the idea of the capital club was to send its striker to a club with which relations are excellent so that the latter regains rhythm, sensations… and value.
A hit at Juve and a big sale next summer?
Because Paris SG is well aware that if Kolo Muani shines at Juventus Turin and scores goals for six months, then the big European clubs will be scrambling next summer to recruit him. And it is not with Juve but with PSG that we will have to negotiate. The objective is therefore to see the former Nantes player shine in Italy in order to hope for a very big sale next summer, why not around the 90 million euros invested a year and a half ago. Not to mention that during his loan to Juve, Paris Saint-Germain saved more than 4 million euros in salaries, a significant sum which will relieve the club's finances at the time when Khvicha Kvaratskhelia will commit to the capital with a salary at least as imposing as that of Randal Kolo Muani.
