A new fog alert was issued by the IRM this Wednesday, between 2 a.m. and 10 a.m.
The Royal Meteorological Institute (IRM) issues a yellow fog alert valid between 2:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. this Wednesday in all Walloon provinces, Limburg, Flemish Brabant and Brussels, it announced on Tuesday.
Milder air will reach Belgium tonight, accompanying the low clouds. Fog may form in several regions, limiting visibility to 200 meters, warns the IRM.
The forecast for the next few days
Wednesdaythe weather will remain gray and foggy with sometimes a little drizzle. Especially in the Ardennes, the fog may be persistent following the melting of the snow. It will be milder with maximums between 2 and 9 degrees. The wind will most often remain weak with variable direction. In the evening and night from Wednesday to Thursday, conditions will change little. It will be gray and sometimes foggy with the possibility of drizzle. The minimums are between 0 and 5 degrees with a weak to sometimes moderate wind from the east or from variable directions.
THURSDAYit will initially be gray in most regions with low clouds and a risk of local fog banks. Wider and wider clearings will appear during the day. The weather will remain dry with maximums of 2 to 6 degrees. The wind will most often be weak from the southeast or from variable directions. At the sea and on the Ardennes heights, the wind will sometimes be moderate.
Fridaythere will initially be a risk of freezing fog or low clouds. Especially in the west, low clouds may linger for a large part of the day. Elsewhere, it will be sunny. Temperatures will reach around 3 degrees in the center. The wind will be light and variable.
SATURDAYthe weather will initially be often gray and cold with a risk of freezing fog. South of the Sambre et Meuse furrow, the day will start with sunshine. In the afternoon, sunny weather will gain ground but low clouds may persist again in the west. Maximum of 2 to 3 degrees in the center (under low clouds, colder weather) and little wind.
Sundaythe start of the day will be quite sunny but cold in many places. Then, from the southwest, low clouds will invade our country. Maximum of around 3 degrees in the center.
