It was FC Barcelona’s football festival. Hansi Flick’s team gave Real Madrid no chance and defeated their eternal rival 5-2 in the final of the Spanish Super Cup.
Robert Lewandowski played an important role in Barcelona’s victory. First, the Pole made a great assist, after which Lamine Yamal scored the equalizing goal.
Later, Lewandowski confidently converted the penalty and gave the Pride of Catalonia a 2-1 lead, which Barcelona did not relinquish until the end of the match.
After the match, the players and coaching staff of the winners went to the stage to receive their medals and the cup. The cameras caught how Robert Lewandowski stopped for a long moment next to Florentino Perez, the president of Real, just before receiving the award.
The gentlemen talked for a while, and during the conversation Perez seemed surprised by Lewandowski’s words. His facial expression suggested that he did not fully agree with what the Pole was saying to him. It is not known what exactly the conversation was about, but it will certainly be talked about.
-All the more so because in earlier seasons Perez made several attempts to bring Lewandowski to Real, when the Polish representative impressed with his form at Bayern Munich. Ultimately, the president of the Royals did not achieve his goal and Lewandowski went to Barcelona instead of Madrid.
