Australian Open live: Coco Gauff, Jannik Sinner, Novak Djokovic on Rod Laver Arena before Nick Kyrgios returns on day two

It’s a team effort inside John Cain Arena here.

The crowd can see Kyrgios is wincing more and more regularly, after almost every serve.

As he prepares to unleash another serve, a group of young fans courtside tell him to “underarm it”.

Kyrgios offers them some advice back, probably telling them to shut it.

I’m not quite sure whether these fans are pro or anti-Kyrgios though. They’re dressed in Aussie yellow, but have some elite banter.

In the first set tiebreaker when Fearnley took a 5-1 lead, one of them yelled, “just like the Celtics Nick!”, a jab at Kyrgios’s beloved Boston Celtics.

Meanwhile, we’ve got some physios out courtside tending to Kyrgios in between games. They appeared to rub some cream on Kyrgios’s troublesome midsection before trotting off the court.

Fearnley up 4-1 and Kyrgios looks increasingly more irritated out there.
