The big winner of season 12 of the Star Academy will have the opportunity to land a contract with Sony Music and win 100,000 euros.

Touching moment of the evening, Charles performed SOS to an earthling in distressan emblematic song for him as for the history of Star Academy. Already sung by Charles during the evaluations, this work, popularized by Grégory Lemarchal in 2004, has a particular symbolism. Marlène Schaff, visibly overwhelmed by emotion, praised Charles’ performance: “Thank you, you gave me time to recover my senses, my dear Nikos. Charles… So, to hide nothing from you, my dear Nikos, we worked on this song with Charles and I told him that he had to stick to a phrase while singing it. It was : ‘I don’t want to be a robot.'” Overwhelmed by emotion, the professor pauses before adding: “Oh, that moves me, Charles. Because when we do this job, it’s precisely because we don’t want to be a robot, because routine kills us. And this is what you transmitted to me, the proof is, since I have tears at the edge of my eyes. I thank you and I salute your courage and I thank you for your trust, Charles.”
Charles’ grandparents overcome with emotion during the semi-final of the Star Academy
Marlène Schaff was not the only one to be moved by this performance. Charles’ grandparents, present with correspondent Mathieu Johann, were also overwhelmed by emotion. Charles’ grandfather said with a trembling voice: “We don’t know what to do anymore, we don’t know anymore… Laugh, cry? It’s really too much emotion that he gives us. But really, it’s the love he sends us. I love you, my little Charlie. I love you, my little prince.” As for the grandmother, she confided: “It’s a permanent emotion. When he sings, he grabs my heart. Thank you, my darling, thank you.” Next week, Franck and Ebony will compete to win second place in the final. The final confrontation of the season, scheduled for January 25, 2025, will crown the winner of this 12th season of the Star Academy.
