Attacks, insults… In , the Municipal Baths suspend naturist slots reserved for women

“It’s heartbreaking to have to come to this, but Sunday’s incident (January 5) was one too many,” explains Juan Negrillo, the director of the municipal baths of (Bas-Rhin). It was he who made the decision to suspend the naturist slots reserved for women until the beginning of February.

“These two-hour time slots were created three years ago. Since then, we have had several issues of incivility but also physical attacks against our staff,” specifies the manager.

Last Sunday, a lifeguard was jostled by a customer who refused to leave the baths even though the session was over. “Our employee is shocked. I will always prioritize the well-being of our employees over that of customers, hence my decision to suspend these slots” assures Juan Negrillo.

The latter also mentions regular breaches of regulations such as the use of black knowledge which blocks the pipes “but also the wearing of swimsuits during naturist slots”. In , the law stipulates that single-sex time slots can only be established to preserve nudity.

“We also have problems regarding the age of certain customers while our rule stipulates that those under 16 years of age are prohibited from entering during these naturist slots. Regularly, adults give their access badges to minors who have entered fraudulently,” explains the director. A meeting will take place on Wednesday to find solutions to best secure these female naturist slots and allow their resumption next month.
