A winter storm is heading for North Carolina and it’s expected to bring snow and possibly ice for the Piedmont Triad. North Carolina Governor Josh Stein has declared a statewide state of emergency ahead of the storm. So how much snow could we get?

Areas like Boone, North Wilkesboro, Sparta, Galax, and Mount Airy could get 3″ plus of snowfall. Places like Winston-Salem, Greensboro, Burlington, Reidsville, part of Lexington, Martinsville, and Danville could get 2″-3″ of snow.

While places like Asheboro and Troy could get 1″-2″ of snowfall.
