Brazilian football legend Roberto Carlos has taken to social media to address rumors that he is currently staying at Real Madrid’s training center. These claims were aired on Telecinco’s Spanish television program Fiesta. The former left-back, who is going through a divorce process, emphasizes that he lives in a private residence and his legal team is looking into the local TV station’s allegations to take “appropriate action.”
“While I value my privacy, I feel compelled to address the unfounded rumors regarding my living conditions. These fabricated stories are completely false and appear to have been created for clicks,” the five-time world champion said in an official statement. The television station has not yet commented on the matter.
At 51, Roberto Carlos is in the process of separating from the physiotherapist Mariana Luccon, whom he married in 2009 and with whom he has two daughters, Manuela and Marina. According to the Spanish television station, the Brazilian’s in-laws live in another property he owns in Madrid. It is suggested that he sought refuge at Real Madrid’s facilities in Valdebebas during his divorce negotiations.
