Are Toni (31), who comes from Lübben, and his wife Pia (27) separated again after the finale of “Wedding at First Sight”?

Maybe a compilation of their marriage highlights can change the decision? Toni and Pia are now watching it separately before they have to go before the experts and announce their decision. The other participants also watch and experience the couple together for the first time. What impression do you have?

Toni from Lübben and Pia – have you made your decision?

The women are initially curious about Toni. Not only because he is the youngest male contestant this season, but also because he has never been in a relationship. Toni, who comes from Lübben (Dahme-Spreewald), is also looking forward to the film: “You don't see yourself in normal life and then you can't reflect on it like that. Maybe a situation wasn't the way you imagined it and you're only now seeing it.” Pia is also “curious to see whether you'll have a different look at it from a distance or not.”

Then the best-of expires. Toni and Pia shed tears. “, these two,” was the first verdict from the women’s group. “When I see the pictures now, I think they both decide on marriage,” says candidate Emma.

Then the film ends with the following words from Toni: “I’m looking forward to a new start in reality, in everyday life.” However, the word restart makes the others sit up and take notice: “Why restart? “It looked very harmonious between the two of them,” commented participant Christian. “We have to ask what happened,” says candidate Kevin in surprise.

Now the long distance is no longer the problem

When Toni returns to the men's group, he explains himself: “Restart… for me this word means: It has to be rewritten. And both have to be able to do it. And want. And that's the whole point. And if that’s what you want, then I’m there.”

Pia is also asked about it by the women's group. “What was the problem now? For us, it didn’t come out that way from the video,” asks candidate Desiree. Pia explains: “From my past, I actually need a lot of stability in my life and also reliability. And because he's so crazy, it just seems to me that he doesn't care about a lot of things.”

What is interesting about this is that in the previous episodes the large distance of almost 800 kilometers was always mentioned die a big challenge. But now completely new obstacles arise between Toni and Pia. The likeable Spreewald native, who now lives in Bavaria, also seems offended by this: “This stupidity that has now been discussed is a really big point for her. I also tried to calm her down. Because I'm not Messi or living behind the moon. I’ll get my life together.”

Pia (27): “We haven’t found the lightness again”

But then things get serious. Toni and Pia appear together in front of the panel of experts. How will the decision turn out? The experts are also completely in the dark – and are asking a few questions. Pia is the first to say: “The wedding started very well for us, we both found it to be a very nice day. Then we started our honeymoon, but we didn’t find the ease again after that.”

“It was an extreme situation that we both went through. With the long journey. “We were also tired and perhaps didn’t have the energy we would have liked,” Toni also tries to explain. Sad and perplexed, he adds: “But I actually no longer had the feeling I had at the beginning, I couldn’t feel it from her anymore.”

When asked by the experts, Pia becomes specific: “I don't want to say I felt uncomfortable, but I couldn't let myself go like that. I haven't managed to build a base in any way in all this time.” So the die seems to have been cast.

Toni (31) from Lübben: “I would have liked us to have a fresh start”

And actually: While Toni wants to continue the marriage, Pia decides on divorce. He struggles for words as he tells her: “I would have liked us to have a fresh start. But… it is what it is.” Did she give up too quickly?

The experts and the other candidates who are following the outcome are also visibly shaken by this ending. “We took you to our hearts and we hope that you were able to take something with you,” says qualified psychologist Markus Ernst. “I would have liked Toni to have more time to be able to grow with her,” says Sandra Köhldorfer.

Toni leaves the decision-making room with Pia feeling depressed. There are words of comfort and encouragement from the other couples. Candidate Marco thinks it's a shame that Pia “threw in the towel so early”. “Stay Tony. That's a good thing. And that’s exactly how it is,” says participant Martin. And Toni himself says: “The last bit of hope is gone, and that hurts. But,” he adds after a short pause, “there will be sunshine again.”

And how did it go for the other couples? Desiree and Marco will also go their separate ways again in the future, as will Martin and Jenny as well as Francisca and Kevin. At least there was a happy ending for two matches in the finale of “Wedding at First Sight”: Emma and Christian as well as Michelle and Fabian are still legally married.
