Last year, Mathieu van der Poel was able to win the World Cup Cross in Hulst after an impressive solo. Joris Nieuwenhuis came second after a good cross, Lars van der Haar was third on the podium. Puck Pieterse had won in the women's race. After an exciting final, Ceylin Alvarado came second. Lucinda Brand finished in third place.
