The trophy with the red Santa hat has a new owner!
Shortly before the festival of love, our six “Let's Dance” couples conjured up a festive atmosphere on the dance floor. From a dreamy Viennese waltz to a lively jive to a rhythmic cha-cha-cha, everything was there. But only one dancing couple was able to convince you: René Casselly and Kathrin Menzinger won the big Christmas show 2024! In the video above we show how happy the acrobat is about the “Dancing Star” title and even throws the trophy into the air.
René Casselly dances his second “Let’s Dance” title
In 2022, René Casselly won the 15th season of “Let's Dance” – and now he's grabbing another dance trophy! In the big Christmas show, the 28-year-old, together with his dance partner Kathrin Menzinger, received the most calls from viewers and thus earned his second “Dancing Star” title. Only this time in the Christmas edition.
Streaming-Tipp: Past seasons and shows of “Let's Dance” can be seen at any time on RTL+
His Jive and Contemporary not only received 30 points each, but above all incredible praise from the jury. Motsi Mabuse actually no longer wants to see René and Kathrin on the “Let's Dance” stage, but rather in their own show in Las Vegas – the dances that the two conjure up on the floor are so spectacular and daring.
This dance goes down in “Let’s Dance” history
Our video shows how René and Kathrin float in the air together at the end of their contemporary and literally cause an (emotional) explosion in the studio. This dance is already legendary!

Anna Ermakova is no longer on the “Let’s Dance” throne
In the big “Let's Dance” Christmas show 2023, “Dancing Star” Anna Ermakova grabbed the trophy. With a total of 90 jury points and thanks to the audience votes, she was chosen as the winner. A year later, René ascends the festively decorated dance throne. Congratulations! (by/to)
