We expect 120 to 140 km/h in Balagne and on the ridges, and even up to 180 km/h towards Cap Corse. “The wind then turns north to northwest on Friday at daybreak, with violent gusts close to 100/120 km/h, sweeping all coastal areas,” reports Météo-France, which describes “a fairly unusual situation” .

The gale will fade during the day on Friday until it disappears. In these swirling winds, Météo-France forecasters also expect “significant snowfall from 800 meters above sea level” in Haute-Corse.
