Don’t do this, don’t do that on 2; did you notice this reference to a famous science fiction film? – Cinema News

In the new episode of “Don’t do this, don’t do that: We’re going to walk on the moon”, the director makes a reference to a famous science fiction film. Did you notice it?

The Bouleys and the Lepics made their big return to 2 this Wednesday, December 8 during the broadcast of a new double episode of Fais pas ci, fait pas ça, entitled “We’re going to walk on the moon”.

The Lepics and the Bouleys travel to the moon

In this part like no other, written by Anne Giafferi and Jeanne Bizot, and directed by Alexandre Castagnetti, we find the Bouley and Lepic families five years after leaving them during the first Christmas after confinement.

A lot of time has passed, the children have now left the nest, and are living their lives. The parents have aged and are struggling to find a new lease of life. Fabienne (Valérie Bonneton) has started writing erotic novels while Renaud (Guillaume de Tonquédec) has been depressed since he was put into early retirement.

On the Bouley side, Denis (Bruno Salomone) is still unemployed, and Valérie (Isabelle Gélinas) has become a conspiracy theorist. To help them give new meaning to their lives, the children decide to register their parents in a major competition organized by the European Space Agency.

Fabienne, Renaud, Valérie and Denis will participate in an experimental protocol intended to train non-professional citizens to go to the Moon. And against all odds, they are chosen for the mission…

A reference to a famous science fiction film

In the second part of the episode of Don’t do this, don’t do that, while the whole team is in the space shuttle which is taking them to the moon, Valérie has a dream that is unusual to say the least.

Denis is stuck in the toilet after eating tripe. Valérie is convinced that he was poisoned. That’s when he comes out convulsing. As her comrades lay her down on a table, an alien comes out of her stomach, splashing Valérie with blood.

If for many people this scene seems innocuous, fans of science fiction films will probably have noted the reference to a cult sequence from Alien, the eighth passenger.

In this scene from Ridley Scott’s film, Officer Kane (played by John Hurt), who was attacked by a kind of arachnid, also sees a creature escape from his abdomen. A reference which is fully assumed by the director, Alexandre Castagnetti.
