This is the sixth multimillionaire of the year in France. As Christmas approaches, a player hit the jackpot of 77 million euros offered Tuesday evening by EuroMillions, reveals the specialist site Winning Draw. He is the only one to have checked the winning combination: the numbers 1, 3, 4, 21, 29 and the stars 2 and 7.
Basically, the European lottery had put a prize pool of 74 million euros into play. But the higher-than-expected participation, with more than 21 million validated grids, made it possible to increase the gain to 77 million. A sum that was, however, very difficult to win: in fact, there was only one chance in 139 million of finding the right numbers.
Another winner at 600,000 euros
Nothing is known yet about this very lucky player. He has sixty days to contact La Française des Jeux and can, after obtaining his winnings, receive support for five years for the management of his assets or on a psychological level.
During Tuesday evening’s draw, another player won the sum of 600,000 euros after guessing the five correct numbers and one of the two stars. A resident of Hauts-de-France received 1 million euros thanks to the MyMillion code. Next Friday, EuroMillions starts (almost) from scratch with a new jackpot of 17 million euros.
