DIRECT. Bayrou responds to criticism of Pau and promises a government “in the coming days”

Mathilde Panot for the LFI group attacks the Prime Minister and the State in general on the question of Mayotte, and criticizes François Bayrou for having gone to Pau for the municipal council of his city Monday evening, citing “contempt”.

“I was at the crisis meeting with the President of the Republic, by video, from the first to the last second. Pau is in France, if I had gone to the municipal council of Paris 7th or Neuilly you would not have picked it up,” he replies.

“I was in my place as a citizen, citizenship is not divided between being in Paris and fulfilling one's responsibilities as a citizen on the ground. It will be a very big subject for our future,” he insists.
