PSG-OL (2-1): Mikautadze’s Regrets, Vitinha’s Optimism – But! Club

At the Parc des Princes this evening, PSG hosted OL in the final match of the 15th round of Ligue 1. The result was a victory for PSG, widening their lead at the top of the table, while was left with regrets.

With a seven-point advantage in the standings and the status of being the only team in the European top five to remain unbeaten this season, it was a splendid evening for PSG, who triumphed over OL with a score of 2-1. However, they were left with a scare after Lyon reduced the deficit at the end of the first half, with a goal from Mikautadze, who expressed his thoughts to DAZN right after the final whistle.

“We needed to play more in the second half; that’s what we lacked. Conceding two quick goals hurts. We came back before the break, but I don’t know why we stopped playing. We need to correct what went wrong and start playing . They always manage to find players who move; we weren’t pressing together,” Mikautadze stated.

On the other hand, the sentiment was markedly different for PSG, with midfielder Vitinha expressing optimism for his team’s future. “It feels good to win in Salzburg and at home in front of our supporters. We expected a tough match but did everything to make it easier for ourselves. We finished the first half poorly after Lyon’s goal. Winning feels good. Each match, we have something different to work on. It helps the team. This will take us far,” he remarked.
