This Friday, December 13, Disney + made an announcement that should delight fans of this cult series from the 2000s… Malcolm is, in fact, back on the platform with new episodes!
Many series from the 2000s have left their mark on viewers. The latter are never lacking for long because some of these fictions are very regularly rebroadcast on television, like My family first, Desperate Housewives or even Malcom on M6 group channels. Three cult comedies that subscribers can also all find on Disney +. If the complete adventures of Loïs, Hal and their four sons are available on this platform, new episodes have recently been filmed!
Malcolm returns to Disney + in 2025 with a new season!
The flagship series offers a great end-of-year gift to its fans since Malcom will make his comeback on the small screen more than twenty years after the end of the sitcom. This Friday, December 13, Disney+ revealed that four new episodes will soon be available in its catalog. To do this, Bryan Cranston, Jane Kaczmarek and Frankie Muniz will reprise their roles. Father, mother and fictional son also reacted jointly. “I've been waiting for this moment for eighteen years! I'll let you discover where Malcom and his family are today”declares the main actor. “It's been twenty-five years since the first issue aired. I'm so excited I may have peed myself a little. Please forgive me”admits, with the same touch of humor as his character, the patriarch of the tribe. “What fun I’m going to have to yell at that kid again! We are really very, very happy to come back together and show you what this family has been doing all this time“indicates, for its part, the very angry mother figure.
Malcom (Disney +): What will be the plot of the new season?
Despite this encouraging news, many noticed that names were missing. Will Malcolm's brothers also be there? Nothing is less certain… According to the synopsis provided by Disney+, “Malcolm and his daughter are drawn into family chaos when Hal and Lois demand his presence for their 40th wedding anniversary party“, therefore not necessarily involving the presence of all the siblings. On the dubbing side, regulars will have to expect a change, Marion Game and Jean-Louis Faure, who lent their voices to the characters of Lois and Hal in France, being deceased.
