xQc claims people supporting Adin Ross’ bid to return to Twitch prayed for the former Kick streamer’s downfall in the past

xQc has responded to Adin Ross’ announcement about leaving Kick and his plans to return to Twitch, pointing out the irony of people who previously wished for the streamer’s downfall now cheering for him. For context, on December 7, 2024, Ross posted on X (formerly Twitter) revealing his focus on getting unbanned from Twitch.

Many streamers, including nearly all of FaZe Clan, have shown support for Adin Ross’ attempt to return to Twitch. Although xQc didn’t mention anyone by name, he seemed to call out those who had shifted their stance on Ross now that he was leaving Kick:

“I think it’s weird that everybody was praying for Adin’s downfall and talking sh*t every time they could about Adin, and now that he is coming, ‘Oh dude, yeah it’s f**king hype, let’s go! Dude, that’s the man right there guys. That’s the daddy!’ I think it’s just so cringe, dude, people are so weird.”

Adin Ross’ bid to make a comeback comes amid several former Twitch streamers’ return to the Amazon-owned platform

Adin Ross made it clear in his announcement on his alternate X account, @AR15thed3mon, that he’s aiming to rejoin Twitch. He has been streaming exclusively on Kick since being banned from Twitch in February 2023 and has repeatedly requested for his indefinite suspension to be lifted.

Ross’ post about seeking reinstatement on Twitch comes amid a wave of other prominent creators returning to the platform.

On the same night that Ross shared his decision to leave Kick, fellow streamer YourRage announced that he would resume streaming on Twitch after his Kick contract ended.

This trend isn’t limited to Kick streamers. Since the start of 2024, several YouTubers, such as DrLupo, Myth, Sykkuno, and Fuslie, have either gone back to Twitch full-time or started streaming on both YouTube and Twitch.

Earlier this month, YouTube also saw one of its top streamers, Ludwig Ahgren, depart the platform. Ludwig announced that he would host his week-long League of Legends marathon event on Twitch, following the expiration of his three-year YouTube Gaming contract in November 2024.

Despite backing from several influential Twitch stars, Adin Ross remains banned from the platform. Additionally, he had a public fallout with Kick CEO Ed Craven, even issuing an ultimatum to the Australian billionaire after he criticized the streamer last month.
