“Our responsibility is to find solutions to emerge from a deep crisis”declared Wednesday December 4, on franceinfo, André Chassaigne, deputy for Puy-de-Dôme and president of the communist group in the National Assembly.

“We must take into account the results of the legislative electionscontinues André Chassaigne. We need a left-wing government. A left-wing Prime Minister who will rely on the foundations of the New Popular Front and who will be able to bring together majorities within the hemicycle. I think it's possible to make a new budget and to vote on bills.”

André Chassaigne adds that the current government does not represent the popular vote and has no illusions about the results of the vote on the motions of censure: “When we artificially put as Prime Minister a representative of a party which lost the elections, when we have such a discrepancy, such a spit on democracy, I do not see the results that we could have.”

Asked about Marine Le Pen's vote in favor of the motion of censure tabled by the left, André Chassaigne recognizes that they will end up voting on the text but “when we listen to each other’s speeches, the reasons are not quite the same.” The Auvergne elected official wonders where the National Rally would find its funding to implement its measures: “Marine Le Pen is not going to look for the money where it is. Does she have the courage to say that there are people in this country who are busy digging? No, she does not don't do it.”
