Tammy Abraham was on target for Milan once again as he helped them advance in the Coppa.

A 6-1 win over Serie B’s Sassuolo saw Milan move to the quarterfinals of the Coppa Italia. It was a party at San Siro with 4 goals coming in the first half through Samu Chukwueze (12′, 21′), Tijjani Reijnders (18′) and Rafael Leão (23′).

In the second half, the Rossoneri scored twice more, with Davide Calabria (56′) and then Tammy Abraham (61′) finding the net. It was Tammy’s second goal in three games, and he also recorded an assist, playing 90 minutes with Álvaro Morata rested.

“I’m very pleased for the win and to have helped my side out with a goal and assist. Now, we have to continue on like this,” Tammy told MilanTV. “We know that we are a strong side, very strong, it comes down to us. This is how we have to carry on.”

Next game is against Atalanta…“Now we will have to rest and get ready for a big game. We know that Atalanta are a good side but so are we.”

Speaking in the mixed-zone, the Englishman said: “I’m very happy with the win and to help the team with goals and assists. We need to keep going like this. You always want to score goals—I’ve scored many and want to score many more with this fantastic team. I want to help the team. I don’t think anyone has seen the real me yet; I still have more to show and prove to the world.”

Is a tough challenge coming up against Atalanta?“We know they are a strong team, but now we need to recover and play a great match. We have to be ready.”

Do you get along well with Leão?“Absolutely. Rafa and I have a connection that we work on every day. It’s improving day by day, and we have great chemistry between us.”

Did you see what happened to Bove?“We were all shocked by the bad news, but thankfully he’s doing well. I’ll reach out to him as soon as possible and hope to see him back on the pitch soon. I’ll pray for him.”
