Donatella Versace was among the legendary guests who attended Sunday night’s “The Devil Wears Prada Musical” charity gala in London.
The Italian fashion designer hit the red carpet in a dazzling sheer bronze mini dress featuring intricate beadwork with a fringed hem and sleeves. Underneath the glamorous crewneck design, she wore a sleek, black strapless bodysuit and sheer black stockings. As the evening benefited the Elton John Aids Foundation, Versace also donned a red Aids awareness ribbon pinned to her chest.
For shoes, she sported brown leather platform boots that hugged her calves and hit just below the knee. The slightly slouchy style boasted a pointed toe set atop a huge stacked platform sole and ultra-high, curvy block heels.
Donatella Versace took on the role of vice president when her older brother Gianni Versace founded his luxury namesake brand in 1978. Up until Gianni’s untimely death in 1997, Donatella served as a creative consultant for her brother. After taking time away from the Italian fashion house, she stepped into the roles of chief designer and vice president of the board. Throughout the 2000s, Donatella increased the brand’s exposure across the globe, really making the company her own. This led to huge celebrities like Madonna, Beyonce, and Jennifer Lopez wearing Versace over and over.
