Motion of censure: the government base calls for “stability”, the PS pleads for an “exit and solutions”: News

After the tabling of the motions of censure and its probable adoption by the deputies of the Assembly, Monday, December 2, the elected representatives of the “governmental base” called for “stability”. The socialists plead for a “way out and solutions”.

“We believe in the possibility of a renewed parliamentarism”. More than a hope, this may already be the case. In its press release published this Monday, December 2, the Socialist Party pleaded for a “responsible motion of censure to protect the French”. The latter do not want this motion to become an end in itself but rather for it to become an opportunity to “present a way out and solutions”.

“Building with Parliament”

They also point out: “Socialists have never gambled on institutional chaos.” A way to oppose the will of the Rebels regarding the resignation of President Emmanuel Macron? They call on the next Prime Minister to “build with Parliament, as well as with the social partners, a method, a path of dialogue and concrete actions.” The latter, however, do not mention the name of Lucie Castets, former “candidate” as Prime Minister for the New Popular Front.

On the side of the parliamentary groups of “governmental base” in the National Assembly, the deputies insist on the risk of “plunge the country into the unknown” with this motion of censure. They conclude with a call for appeasement, wishing to put out the fire that would lead Michel Barnier and his government to resign. “The country's interest is stability and appeasement. This is what we are calling for today.”
