“Reverse match, empty stadium, that’s the magic of the Coupe de France” could we read Saturday, November 30, on the banner of Bolbec supporters in Ornano. After learning last Wednesday that the Seine-Maritime prefecture was opposed to the match being played in Pavilly, for security reasons, the players from Bolbec, a Regional 1 team, had to resolve to reverse the match and let SM Caen receive for this 8th round of the Cup. A gala match in an Ornano stadium which sounded hollow (1,377 spectators), and Malherbe in the best position to get through this round without incident.
Bihan, scorer again
After ten minutes of acclimatizing, leaving Bolbec to create a small situation (5'), the Caennais finally got their foot on the ball. Mickaël Le Bihan's Madjer (11') finished in the gloves of Paumel. Like SM Caen brouillon, who lacked accuracy in the last gesture. But the Breton, positioned at the forefront in place of Alex Mendy, left to rest, finally broke the deadlock with a superb strike from the edge of the area, which flew into the opposite corner (1-0, 21') .
As against Chartres, Le Bihan therefore found himself a scorer and confirmed his newfound efficiency, even if he missed the break (27'), on a golden throw from Thomas.
Not safe, SM Caen was close to correctional. Emmanuel Ntim was completely overtaken by Kévin Massaka, but the latter missed his face-to-face with Yannis Clementia (38'). Malherbe still couldn't score this second goal. Just before the break, on a cross from Kyeremeh, Autret saw his head pushed back by Paumel's gloves. The ball came back to Le Bihant whose shot ended on the crossbar (45').

Returning from the locker room, Malherbe was, this time, able to make the break. On his first opportunity, Mathias Autret lobbed Paumel (2-0, 48'). If Tidiam Gomis then saw defender Mathieu Leroux push the ball back onto his line (54'), Godson Kyeremeh managed to find the net in two stages (3-0, 58').
Having just entered the game, Alexandre Mendy was quick to score on his second ball (4-0, 65'). SM Caen's top scorer took care of his stats. Even if Kyeremeh (72') and Lebreton (75') missed the target, Malherbe was able to end this match calmly with a fifth goal from Bilal Brahimi (5-0, 77'), whose shot flew between the legs of Paumel. Kyeremeh scored a double (6-0, 88') and showed a little confidence.
Logically qualified for the 32nd finals of the Coupe de France, SM Caen will know their opponent this Monday, December 2, during the draw (from 7 p.m.). Ligue 1 clubs enter the fray and the matches will be played on the weekend of December 21.
