Botola Pro D1 Inwi: Wydad de Casablanca gets a breath of fresh air against Olympique de Safi

Wydad de Casablanca (WAC) beat, this Friday, November 29 at the Larbi Zaouli stadium, the Olympique Club de Safi (OCS) with a narrow score of 1-0, on behalf of the 12th day of the Botola Pro D1 Inwi .

During this meeting, the Reds were able to count on a massive presence of their supporters who gave their voice and continued to encourage them throughout this meeting.

However, it was the Safiotes who led the first attacks by offering themselves two good chances which came up against the vigilance of Wydadi keeper Youssef El Motie, with also a very reassuring captain, Jamal Harkass.

Rulani Mokwena’s men quickly took matters into their own hands, dominating the proceedings. They will be rewarded in the 4th minute thanks to a goal from Oussama Zemraoui. Although they tried to double the lead, with good attempts from their Mauritanian attacking midfielder Sidi Bouna Amar, the score remained unchanged during the first phase of play.

A salutary victory

The second half also got off to a flying start, with a clear domination of the Wydadis, galvanized by their audience and eager to score new goals. But the Safiots playing the counterattacks were also very threatening.

Despite the changes made by Rulani Mokwena (WAC) and Amine El Karma (OCS), and the many attempts by the two clubs to score, the result ultimately remained unchanged in a well-contested duel.

Thanks to this victory, Wydad provisionally occupies second place in the ranking with 19 points, tied with the Maghreb of Fez, 7 lengths behind the leader the Renaissance sportive de Berkane (26 points).

As for Olympique de Safi, it is still in 9th position and risks being left behind since quite a few clubs with the same number of points are playing this weekend.
