Fenerbahçe will face Slavia Prague away in the 5th week match of the UEFA Europa League. The yellow-dark blue team, which got its last victory in the Europa League this season against Union Saint-Gilloise in the first match, based all its plans on an absolute victory in the critical match. The yellow-dark blue team, which is in the 21st place in the points table, locked itself to 3 points against its rival, which attracted attention with its successful form in the Czech League. Journalists working in the Czech media gave their evaluations before the fight. Our colleagues opened a separate bracket for the dangerous names of Slavia Prague and warned our representative.
SPECIAL STATEMENTS OF CZECHIA JOURNALISTS BEFORE THE FIGHT ARE AS FOLLOWS:
ADAM WEIDENTHALER (CZECH RADIO):
“SLAVIA PRAGUE IS BACK TO ITS REAL POWER IN THE CZECHIA AND EUROPEAN LEAGUE”
class=”medyanet-inline-adv”>
Slavia Prague returned to its true strength both in its home league and in the Europa League. In their last match, they had an easy win against the worst team in the Czech League, but they rotated their players well. This means that more players at Slavia Prague are ready to play. For example, as you saw in the Frankfurt match, they always played an active game on the field and were in good shape in terms of running. The core of the team consists of 3 players in the midfield: Lukas Provod (playmaking genius), Oscar Dorley (the insurance of the defense) and Christos Zafeiris (who has a creative spark that no one else in the team has).
“FENERBAHÇE HAS A 60 PERCENT MORE ADVANTAGE BECAUSE ITS INDIVIDUAL QUALITIES ARE VERY SUPERIOR”
I can say that Fenerbahçe has a 60 percent advantage in the match because their individual quality is very superior. But Slavia Prague have shown us this season that they can beat the best teams in Europe, play evenly against them or draw at worst. For example, they came very close to knocking out Ajax. If Slavia Prague scores the first goal it will be very difficult to break through their defence. However, if Fenerbahçe takes the advantage, Slavia Prague can at least push themselves to finish the match in a draw. Dusan Tadic and Youssef En-Nesyri will be the main targets of Slavia Prague defenders. Although Jose Mourinho is an outstanding manager, I wasn’t sure what immediate impact he would make in a brand new league for him. Mourinho experiences good things in his first season with every new team. Things are going well for him so far, but I’m more curious about how he can manage the team in the long run.

BART CERNIK (ISPORT.CZ):
“SLAVIA PRAGUE; “HE DOMINATED THE MATCHES AGAINST A.BILBAO, E.FRANKFURT AND AJAX”
Slavia Prague have arguably had the best league start in the club’s history. After a bit of a bumpy start, they started to dominate the matches. They had 13 wins, 2 draws and 0 losses. Coach Jindrich Trpisovsky rotates less than in previous seasons. He has around 8 players he will always play if they are fit. Especially in the league, it competes with very strong 11s even against weak opponents. He uses more rotation in the Europa League because there is more attack-oriented and free football there, unlike the Czech League. Slavia Prague played one of its best away games under coach Trpisovsky against Athletic Bilbao and E.Frankfurt. They dominated against the home teams but lost 1-0 in both matches. They also dominated the match against Ajax, but they drew 1-1. I’m happy with the matches but not the scores.

“Lille SAID THAT THEY HAVE NEVER SEEN A TEAM PUTTING THIS MUCH PRESSURE AND RUNNING”
Slavia Prague are currently one of the most physically demanding teams in Europe. His running stats are also incredible. French players said they had never seen a team press and run so much before, when Lille played in Prague in August (Slavia won 2-1). They generally play with a 3-4-3 system in the league, and at this point they rely on very good defenders and the young and bright goalkeeper Kinsky. However, in Europe they sometimes switch to a 4-2-3-1 system. Thanks to his physique, Slavia plays man-to-man all over the pitch, something rarely seen in the Europa League. Oscar Dorley fulfills his duty as a steal in midfield. Oscar also has great technique and makes incredible dribbles. It’s very enjoyable to watch him. And of course I want to mention Lukáš Provod, who is currently the best player in the Czech League. He is a creative winger. He is also very tall and leggy, but an excellently fast runner. He plays a key role in Slavia Prague’s game.

“ALLAN SAINT-MAXIMIN HAS THE DESTRUCTIVE POWER TO CREATE TROUBLES WITH HIS SPEED”
I have great respect for some Fenerbahce players, especially Dusan Tadic. Allan Saint-Maximin, on the other hand, has a destructive power that can cause problems for Slavia Prague with his speed if he is fit. As a bonus: Czech fans love Edin Džeko because he started his career here at the small club Teplice and speaks Czech fluently. But to be honest, I’m not very happy with the way Fenerbahçe has played in the Europa League so far. They have great individual players but I don’t see the system working that well yet.

“TECHNICAL DIRECTOR TRPİSOVSKY DEFEATED ROMA COACHED BY MOURINHO!”
A year ago, coach Trpisovsky beat Mourinho’s Roma 2-0 in the match in Prague. It was a great win. Mourinho’s Roma were very well tackled by Slavia and they barely had any chances. I personally think that Mourinho – although he is a great coach – has nothing new to offer to European football. He has been a coach at the highest level for 20 years, but his charisma and personality are now at the forefront rather than his tactics. I haven’t watched Fenerbahçe in the league, but it’s good that the results are good for him and he will probably fight for the championship. But all I see are articles where he argues with the referees, gets a card and makes fun of Turkish football. I don’t like this very much.
“SLAVIA PRAGUE IS THE FAVORITE PARTY. “THEY CAN OVERCOME FENERBAHÇE DEFENSE”
Without any bias, I think Slavia Prague is the favourite. From what I heard, they are very confident, they can overcome Fenerbahçe’s defense. Trpisovsky generally says that the teams in the Czech League defend better than those in Europe, and this observation is correct. Also, Slavia Prague really needs points. They will play 3 of the remaining 4 matches at home and that is where their strength lies. They have big ambitions to get into the top 8, so they need to win. The fans are really going crazy here. Especially when there is an important match, the players go crazy with them. Fenerbahçe needs to prepare to run hard.
