The Lakers’ victory over the Spurs became another milestone game for LeBron James.
The Los Angeles Lakers ended their three-game slump in style on Wednesday night, cruising to a 119-101 win over the San Antonio Spurs at Crypto.com Arena. Anthony Davis led the charge with a strong double-double, but the night belonged to LeBron James, who achieved yet another milestone.
LeBron notched his 6th triple-double of the season, tallying 16 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists in Lakers win. While the victory came as a big relief for J.J Redick and Co., it was extra special for James, who surpassed Tim Duncan to claim the No. 2 spot on the all-time career wins list.
With the win, James now has 1,159 career wins, moving past Duncan’s 1,158. The only player ahead of him on this is Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who holds the record with 1,228 wins.
The 39-year-old, who broke Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s career scoring record of 38,387 points last season, would need 70 more wins to claim yet another No. 1 spot in the NBA record books.
