Monaco, and tied, Real Madrid and PSG behind… The ranking after five days

Three days before the end of the regular phase, Liverpool are at the top of the C1. Against all expectations, Real Madrid and Saint-Germain are on the brink of collapse.

After five contested days, a hierarchy is starting to take shape in the Champions League. Behind leader Liverpool, winner of Real Madrid and author of a 5/5 so far, Inter Milan, FC Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund are keeping pace. At the gates of the top 8, synonymous with direct qualification to the round of 16, three French representatives are doing very well. Tied with 10 points, AS Monaco (8th), (11th) and (12th) maintain all their chances of qualifying.

THE COMPLETE RANKING OF THE C1

Madrid and Paris under pressure

Behind, behemoths such as Bayern Munich (13th), Atlético Madrid (15th), Manchester City (17th) and Juventus Turin (19th) are hanging around in the middle of the table. But their situation, three days before the end of the regular phase, remains relatively under control. Which is not the case for Real Madrid (24th) and Paris Saint-Germain (25th), logically beaten this week by Liverpool and Bayern. For now, the Madrid club, reigning European champion, occupies the last qualifying place in the play-offs (equivalent to the round of 16) while PSG is virtually eliminated. Even further, three teams bring up the rear with still zero points on the clock (five defeats): Young Boys Bern (36th), Slovan Bratislava (35th) and, more surprisingly, RB Leipzig (34th).
