Prosecuted for “breach of trust”, Mohamed Aouzalformer president of Raja and ex-insurance broker, was placed in preventive detention at the local prison of Aïn Sbaâ. This is what a judicial source tells Médias24.

His son, Khalid Aouzalgeneral manager of the company ACECA (the African insurance brokerage and advice), of which Mohamed Aouzal is the founder and CEO, would be involved in the same affair. He is criticized for “theissuance of bad checks” whose amount reached 40 million DH.

In backup since November 2021, the insurance broker subsequently fell into bankruptcy. The ACECA company, created in the 1950s, has been facing a difficult financial situation for several years.

In 2021, as announced exclusively in our columns, the Insurance and Social Security Control Authority (ACAPS) a removed approval as an insurance broker at ACECA. And this, in particular due to “non-payment of premiums collected on behalf of insurers” and “non-reimbursement of claims for the benefit of policyholders”.

At the time, the list of declared claims amounted to 236 million DH including MAD 59 million from privileged creditors (DGI, CNSS, AWB, BCP etc.). Knowing that the largest debt was declared by AXA Assurance (57 MDH).

At the same time, ACECA was in conflict with numerous employees, knowing that the general director, Khalid Aouzal, himself demanded 600.000 DH to society.

At the time, he was the subject of criminal proceedings for “presentation of securities without provision”. Today, charges were officially filed against him. That said, our judicial source indicates that it is “in a state of flight”, unlike his father, who was placed in detention.

As a reminder, Mohamed Aouzal was also targeted by payment actions. One of them is the work of the People’s Central Bank which obtained a judgment, in 2024recognizing him 35 millions of DH against the CEO of ACECA.
