Following FC Bayern’s 1-0 win against Paris St. Germain, sports director Max Eberl again commented on Joshua Kimmich. “He can decide: does he want to experience a great adventure, which would be completely legitimate, or does he want to become another legend at Bayern Munich. You can sleep on it for two or three nights.”the official discussed the situation surrounding the midfield strategist’s contract, which expires in the summer.

It is clear to him that Bayern are ready “to finally get it over the table”. All that is missing is Kimmich’s consent. Eberl also made no secret about the tense relationship from last season between the club and the German international: “We don’t have to make a secret of the fact that there was a time when everyone didn’t feel completely comfortable and didn’t behave the way they should.” Now the record champions want to look towards a shared future with Kimmich.
