In the new issue of Meet in unknown land broadcast on Tuesday, November 26 on France 2, Tomer Sisley set off to discover the Dolpo-Pa tribe in the northwest of Nepal. An adventure during which he learned a “life lesson” which unfortunately was not filmed.
A new issue of Meet in unknown land was broadcast this Tuesday, November 26 on France 2. Raphaël de Casabianca took Tomer Sisley to discover the Dolpo-Pa tribe in the northwest of Nepal. For what will be his latest adventure in the public service show avant to be replaced by Laury Thillemanthe journalist therefore met goat and yak breeders in very difficult living conditions. If, as usual, the show offered viewers very strong moments of emotion, it was outside the field of cameras that the interpreter of Largo Winch took a “life lesson“.
“I will never get back the same brain I had before that moment”: Tomer Sisley transformed by a scene that happened off camera in Meet in unknown land
During the press conference organized by the channel, the actor narrated a scene that happened on the second evening. While he had just made cheese with the locals (the only way for them to barter because, at 5,000 meters above sea level, there is nothing else), a cow came and tore down the tent which housed the food and devoured it. It was at this moment that he took “a life lesson” seeing the reaction of two seniors : “There is Amchi Karma who looks at Grandma and says to her 'Okay, it's done, it's done. There's no point in feeling sorry for yourself. It's better to dance'. And there, I see Amchi Karma in front of the tent which is torn to the ground where there is no more cheese which begins to dance”, he explains before continuing: “It's a phrase I've heard a thousand times before, but I've never seen anyone put it into practice. My brain has disconnected. And I'll never get the same brain back that I had before that moment.”
“I still haven't gotten over it“: This moment of Meet in unknown land changed Tomer Sisley and his way of seeing things
“It was almost a year ago and I still haven't gotten over it.“, says the one who recently presented Our history of France on France 2. In his daily life, the actor now tries to adopt this state of mind as often as possible: “Now we try to dance when we can't change things. It's a really good lesson“. A journey full of emotions, therefore, for Tomer Sisley, who hopes to return one day to meet them one day or another.
