TOPS/FLOPS – Tuesday evening, Barça easily dominated Brest at home (3-0) as part of the fifth day of the Champions League. Robert Lewandowski notably scored a double.
TOPS
Robert Lewandowski power 100
Another (very) great match from the Barça scorer. Author of an exceptional start to the season, “RL9” piled up two more goals this evening bringing his total to 21 this season in 18 matches. Better than that, the former Bayern Munich striker, with his double (10e90e+2) now has 101 goals in the Champions League. A total which makes him 3e top scorer in the history of the competition. Eternal and legendary.

The essential Raphinha
The Brazilian, also the author of a monstrous start to the season with FC Barcelona, was in all the good moves on Tuesday evening. Even if the Catalan striker did not find the net, the Blaugranas' play systematically passes through him, on the right flank. Barça's No.11 shot six times on goal against the Bretons and created four clear chances for his team. Also very precise in his choices and his vision of the game, the twirling Auriverde succeeded in 80% of his passes against Brest. Formidable.
Jules Koundé, Mr. Plus
Like the sparkling form of his team, the French international delivered a great performance. The right-back continued to propose and project himself offensively, offering a significant volume of play. The Catalan finished the match with 92 balls touched on the clock. The French player was in all the Blaugranas' good moves. A high-class match on his part which confirms, once again, his great confidence at the moment with Barça and the French team.

The warrior Brendan Chardonnet
The central defender and captain of Stade Brestois, despite the defeat, was the symbol of his team. Brave and valiant. The Breton rock fought like a lion, whether in the air or on the ground. The Finisterian did what he could to contain Robert Lewandowski and that is to his credit.
FLOPS
Marco Bizot at fault (despite himself)
The Brest goalkeeper broke down very (too) quickly under Catalan pressure. From the first minutes of the match, the Dutchman was guilty of a crude, poorly controlled exit on Robert Lewandowski, logically punished with a penalty that the Pole took pleasure in transforming on his own. A clumsiness which cost his team dearly from the start of the match. Already it was almost mission impossible for the Finisterians, with this mistake from the outset, the mission became impossible for the Bretons. At this level, it is not forgiving.

The step was (much) too high for the Bretons
Eric Roy's men have nothing to be ashamed of for their evening performance. The Brestois did not fail and quite simply came across (much) stronger than them. This takes nothing away from their exceptional start to the Champions League campaign. The “Ty Zefs” did what they could and fought as best they could. An exemplary mentality. Real fighters. With this heavy setback, the Bretons slip to 9e place in C1 but still have a good chance of qualifying for the play-offs.
