Clouds dominate the western and northern regions but showers remain rare, with the exception of regions near the English Channel where the southwest wind blows at 40-50 km/h in gusts. Beautiful clearings are returning from Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes to the Mediterranean after the last rains have evacuated through the Alpes-Maritimes. Mistral and tramontane blow moderately around the Gulf of Lion.

Calm and dry weather prevails in most regions, but the sun has difficulty showing itself over the long term in the western and northern regions. You have to head towards the south-east to find beautiful sunny periods. In the far north, some rain or showers are still circulating until mid-afternoon.

The weather is clearly deteriorating on the Breton tip with the arrival of a disturbance bringing rain and a strong southerly wind. Ahead of this disturbance, clouds dominate over a large north-western half of the country while a slightly more changeable sky affects a small south-eastern half.
Temperatures are between 6°C in Charleville-Mézières and 15°C in Nice.
Developments expected in the coming days
On Wednesday, a new ocean disturbance crosses the northern half of France with rain and wind. The weather remains calm and dry in the southern part of France. The sun dominates from the Pyrenees to the Alps and the Mediterranean, very mild in the afternoon. On Thursday, we will find the residue of the disturbance from the day before in the central regions. On either side of the disturbed area, clearings will manage to develop.
