Charlotte de Turckheim is back on screen. Currently, the actress is starring in the mini-series France 2, That’s Paris! alongside Alex Lutz. For the occasion, she agreed to confide in the columns of The two of us. In addition to discussing her role in the France Télévisions program, she does not hesitate to talk about her family life. And what is certain is that the actress has nothing to be bored about. “I have a very big family. I have seven grandchildren. And for the record, my daughters all gave birth to four babies in the same month in November last year! “, admits Charlotte de Turckheim.

She explains that she spent a lot of time taking care of her family, as her mother suffered from Alzheimer's disease. Also, she does not hesitate to help her daughters by taking care of her grandchildren regularly. “I play backup mom for my grandchildren”explains the actress. “During the All Saints holidays, there were four-legged babies everywhere. There are seventeen of us at the table. So, seventeen breakfasts, seventeen lunches, seventeen dinners”. To take care of this whole troop, you have to demonstrate great organization. “Au pairs from the village come to help us and my husband (Zaman Hachemi) cooks the food. 50kg bowls of veal blanquettes or Afghan rice. My house has become a kind of nursery”adds Charlotte de Turkheim.

If Charlotte de Turckheim is swimming in complete happiness, surrounded by her seven grandchildren, she is also going through a difficult period. “I'm getting over it but I'm finding it really, really difficult. I have an old mother who has very painful Alzheimer’s”confided the actress to the microphone of Europe 1 last August. “She suffers a lot, and that, at certain times, is really difficult.” She then explains that the most difficult thing is seeing her suffer because of this neurodegenerative disease. “When (sick parents, editor’s note) are not suffering, it’s okay. But when she suffers it’s unbearable in fact,” adds the actress, her voice full of emotion.
