Angry farmers: “Prepare your bins filled with plants”, the mobilization resumes this Tuesday, November 26 in the Pyrénées-Orientales

There may be trouble this Tuesday, November 26 on the roads around Perpignan. A week after the blocking of the Boulou toll barrier by Rural Coordination 66, the Young Farmers (JA) and the Departmental Federation of Farmers' Unions (FDSEA) of the Pyrénées-Orientales in turn launched a call to demonstrate this Tuesday morning.

“Funeral procession”

On their respective social networks, the unions announced that they were organizing a “funeral procession” to the prefecture. “The fight continues. Actions continue. The rural world is suffering. We want concrete responses from the government! We want to obtain measures that meet the needs of farmers. We will not let up the pressure because we want to make ourselves heard! Get ready. Prepare your bins full of plants and come all in black.”we can read on the Facebook page of the two unions.

The farmers will meet at 9 a.m. at the Maison de l'agriculture. As for the tractors, they are invited to go at 8 a.m. to one of the three assembly points defined by the two unions: at the Parc des Expos in Perpignan, at the Pollestres carpooling area and at the Thuir stadium. Once reunited, the farmers will organize a symbolic procession, in the form of an agricultural funeral, to the prefecture.
