Less than two minutes. 114 seconds exactly. Times are tough for Matthieu Jalibert, sidelined with the XV of France during the fall tour, and left prematurely due to injury this Sunday evening with Union Bordeaux-Bègles for his return to competition.

Almost a month after his last full match (on October 26 against Pau, he had only played 30 minutes against Japan, last October 9), the French international fly-half (34 caps) was injured in the right leg this Sunday evening on one of his first balls. When he had just kicked a small lofted ball, the 26-year-old collided with Mako Vunipola, the left pillar of RC Vannes.

Quickly on his feet, he continued to limp afterwards, while the slow motion showed that a crutch was causing him pain. While the Bretons scored on the following action, and Jalibert demanded a little something from the referee, he nevertheless gritted his teeth, before having to give up his place before the 10th minute of play. His match, ultimately, lasted less than two minutes.
