Good news for Stromae fans (who might find the time long). The multi-award-winning Belgian singer released a new song this Saturday, called “My best enemy”, in a duet with female artist Pomme. A duo brought together for the soundtrack of the hit animated series “Arcane”, the episodes of season 2 of which have just been released on Netflix.
“We put together a special song for the final season of Arcane. My best enemy is now available on all platforms! », Published the Belgian artist on his Instagram account followed by 1.8 million accounts. For the occasion, the two artists lent their features in a visual, representing them both as video game characters.
For Stromae, it is an expected return to say the least: “Ma Meilleure Enneme” being the first song revealed by the artist in more than two years. The 39-year-old singer had interrupted his last tour, the “Multitude Tour”, after a decline in his health.
Exhausted by a world tour in the wake of his second album “Racine Carrée” (2013), Stromae first threw in the towel at the end of 2015, suffering from depression aggravated by the side effects of an antimalarial.
He returned to the stage in 2022 to present “Multitude”, including the title “L’Enfer” with very personal accents on his suicidal thoughts. The album allowed him to win a 6th and 7th Victoires de la Musique, in France, in February 2023.
