The return home was complicated on the evening of Thursday, November 21, in the regions affected by snow. It crossed a good part of the country all day and is still very present. In Île-de-France, in Burgundy or in the East, the difficulties are numerous.

This evening, on many roads in France, it is paralysis with uninterrupted lines of vehicles. The snow arrived with its share of unforeseen events and accidents. “As it starts to freeze on the ground, the temperatures are really dropping and tonight it’s going to really slide.”explains the team leader at the Île-de-France roads department.

Tow trucks are busy this early evening on a national road in France. Motorists are resigned but they are also and above all cautious. Snow began to fall in abundance mid-morning in the basin, reaching 7 to 10 cm in places. Motorists moved slowly on slippery roads. The snow doesn't hold everywhere on the ground, but riding a motorcycle today really wasn't the best idea.

At a university campus south of Paris, classes were suspended at midday, freeing students to find transportation home.
